Coronavirus (COVID19)

How are we prepared?

In line with national guidance from Public Health England, the World Health Organisation and the Church of England, we are responding proportionately and will continue to do so as the situation develops.

The latest instruction from the Archbishop of York and the Bishop of Newcastle is that we should suspend our public acts of worship until further notice. This means that for the time being, all our services will be cancelled. Most, if not all of our church meetings, groups and social events have also been cancelled.

How can we support you?

We're aware that the coronavirus pandemic may have a significant impact on our community, including situations where people are left feeling isolated, anxious or distressed. We hope to update this page regularly with prayers and resources to help members of our community take part in worship from home. We hope this will reassure you during this turbulent time.

Please get in touch with us:

  • If you are self-isolating and you would like help from someone.

  • If you would like one of our Team to call you.

  • If you would like to receive email updates and resources from us.

A prayer about the Coronavirus outbreak

Keep us, good Lord,

under the shadow of your mercy

in this time of uncertainty and distress.

Sustain and support the anxious and fearful,

and lift up all who are brought low;

that we may rejoice in your comfort

knowing that nothing can separate us from your love

in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Amen.
