Chris joined the team in 2018 as Curate, and stayed on Team Vicar with special responsibility to encourage the parish in mission. He leads the ministry to refugees and asylum seekers, and the renewal and redevelopment of St James' building. He also works closely with the Foodbank and other local organisations.
Chris grew up in Newcastle and found faith as a teenager when a friend first took him to Church. He trained for ministry at the College of the Resurrection, Mirfield, and before that he was a professional artist and trained in Sculpture at the Royal College of Art. Making art will always be a big part of his life. He also loves travelling and enjoys getting lost in other countries.
